セガは、PS5/Xbox Series X|S/PC（Steam/Epic Games Store/Windows）/Mac/Netflix用ソフト「Football Manager 25」について、ユーザーインターフェース・グラフィックを刷新のうえ新要素を追加し、シリーズとして大きな進化を目指し開発を進めてきたが、品質の確保に想定以上の時間を要すると判断し、本作の発売を中止、開発資産を引き継ぎ次回作の開発に注力することを決定した。
