「オレゴン・トレイル～開拓者のミニミニ冒険～」は、開拓時代のアメリカ西部・オレゴンへの壮大な旅を通して、アメリカ史を体験学習できるアドベンチャーゲームだ。
プレイヤーは開拓者たちのリーダーとなり、アイテムやルートの選択など運命を左右する決断をしながら、無事に一行を未開の地オレゴンまで導いていく。また、狩り、魚釣り、川渡り、いかだ下り、馬車修理、電報打ち、果実摘み、砂金集めといったミニゲームを楽しむこともできる。
