「エアラインタイクーン2 日本語版」は、ロンドン、モスクワ、ニューヨークなど世界中の空港の航空ルートを借り旅客機を購入し、パイロットや客室乗務員を雇い、機体を整備しながら運営していく航空ビジネスシミュレーションだ。
すべてが現実的で真面目なシミュレーションゲームというわけではなく、ゲーム中はデフォルメされたコミカルなキャラクターとユーモアがある飛行機が登場する。
