「ドラゴンエイジ：インクイジション」は、セダス大陸の上空に突如発生したフェイドの裂け目を中心に、人やエルフたちとデーモンとの戦いが描かれるダークファンタジーRPG。フェイドの裂け目から出現するデーモンたちに対抗するため、主人公たちは審問会を結成し、全面戦争を繰り広げることとなる。
今作ではシリーズ作品初となるオンラインマルチプレイが導入されているのが特徴だ。
