KONAMIは、2017年9月14日に発売するPS4/PS3用ソフト「ウイニングイレブン 2018」について、欧州最大級のゲームショー「gamescom 2017」にて「Best Sports Game」を受賞したと発表した。
本作は、徹底的な現地取材による2万点以上のリアルデータを元にグラフィックを表現したのに加え、リアルサッカーのスピード感を再現。協力プレーの新モード「オンラインCO-OP」を搭載するなど、対戦による楽しみの幅がさらに広がったことなどが、高く評価された。
