「Expeditions A Mudrunner Game」は、自然溢れる未開の土地を探索するオフロードドライブアドベンチャーシリーズ「マッドランナー」「スノーランナー」に続く、オフロードドライブシミュレーターの第3弾だ。
プレイヤーはドライバーとして、切り立った崖や急登が続く山岳地帯や鬱蒼と茂った森林といった未舗装の土地の踏破を目指す。
計画を立てて最適な車両を選択し、タイヤの空気圧を調整し、全輪駆動に切り替えるなど運転中の操作も大切。専門家を雇い、調査チームを拡大し、ドローンやウィンチ、アンカー等のガジェットを駆使して未開の大地を解き明かそう。
