「Sniper Elite: Resistance」は、新たな工作員が登場し、緊迫した状況の中でレジスタンスの戦士として重要な役割を担うことになる戦術的なTPSだ。占領下のフランスに潜入し、フランスのレジスタンスと協力して、スリリングな作戦を遂行しよう。目的はただ一つ、戦争の結果を変える可能性のあるナチスの新型超兵器の開発を阻止することだ。
また、他プレイヤーのキャンペーンに枢軸軍の狙撃兵として侵入する「アクシスインベージョン」モードが再登場。最大16人の対戦や、最大3人のプレイヤーと協力して次々と押し寄せる敵を倒すサバイバルモードも楽しめる。
