「Way of the Hunter 2 ウェイ オブ ザ ハンター2」は、前作「Way of the Hunter」を手がけたNine Rocks Gamesが開発を担当しており、新たな技術基盤のもと、長期にわたるアップデートや拡張を視野に入れた設計で開発されたオープンワールド狩猟シミュレーションゲームだ。
シリーズ初となる「ハンティングドッグ」が登場するのも特徴となっており、狩猟犬は、動物の痕跡を探したり、逃げた獲物の血痕を追跡したりと、狩猟をサポートする頼もしいパートナーになってくれる。訓練を重ねることで成長し、指示への反応も向上していく。
