ソニー・インタラクティブエンタテインメントは、PS5/PS4用ソフト「グランツーリスモ7」のオープニングムービーをPlayStation公式YouTubeチャンネルにて公開した。
オープニングムービーでは、カール・ベンツ氏が最初の自動車を発案したところから、最新のEVカー「ポルシェ・タイカン」までの自動車と人々、社会との関係の歴史が7分を超える映像で描かれている。
また、「グランツーリスモ」シリーズのクリエイター・山内一典氏（ポリフォニー・デジタル代表取締役プレジデント）が本作やオープニングムービーに込めた思いと解説が、シリーズ公式サイト内ニュースページにて公開されている。
