2KとFiraxis Gamesは、PC用ソフト「XCOM 2(エックスコム2)」を、2016年2月12日に発売する。
本作は、人類がエイリアンの軍勢に無条件降伏してから20年後の未来の世界を舞台に、機密グローバル軍事組織「XCOM」が、エイリアンの支配から地球を取り戻し、人類を解放するための戦いが展開されるターンベースのストラテジーゲーム。
パッケージ版には、特典として「レジスタンス ウォーリアーパック」のダウンロードコードが封入される。このパックには新たなアウトフィット、ヘッドギア、戦闘用のフェイス・ペイントなどが含まれ、さらにソルジャーのカスタマイズが楽しめる。
「レジスタンス ウォーリアーパック」には、アヴェンジャーの兵舎に登場する新たな「XCOM」のソルジャー“先の戦争のサバイバー”が含まれる。
