KONAMIは、シリーズ最新作「METAL GEAR SOLID V： THE PHANTOM PAIN」「ウイニングイレブン2016」が、欧州ゲームショー「gamescom 2015」にて受賞したことを明らかにした。
今回、グローバル展開が予定されているシリーズ最新作「METAL GEAR SOLID V:THE PHANTOM PAIN」と「ウイニングイレブン2016（PES 2016 - Pro Evolution Soccer）」が、今月初旬に開催された欧州最大級のゲームショー「gamescom 2015」の出展タイトルから選出される「gamescom Award 2015」にて、「Best Action Game」「Best Sports Game」など3部門で受賞したことが明かされた。
