「ハロウィン ザ・ゲーム」は、1978年公開の名作「Halloween（邦題：ハロウィン）」を原作とした非対称型ステルスホラーゲームだ。
アメリカの田舎町「ハドンフィールド」を舞台に、プレイヤーは白いマスクを被った殺人鬼「マイケル・マイヤーズ」となって住民を恐怖の底に突き落とすか、住民を安全な場所に誘導したり、警察を呼んで凶行を阻止するなど、映画さながらのスリルが楽しめる。
また、シングルプレイでは映画で語られなかった物語の裏側をストーリーモードとして届けられる。
