エレクトロニック・アーツは、PS3/Xbox 360/PC用ソフト「バトルフィールド 3」の日本語版の発売日が2011年11月2日に決定したことを発表した。
本作は全世界で累計3000万本の売上（※2011年7月現在）を達成した「バトルフィールド」シリーズの最新作で、今年のロサンゼルスで開催されたE3（Electronic Entertainment Expo）でGame Critic Awardsの最高アクションゲーム賞や最高オンライン・マルチプレイヤー賞を含む46 のアワードを受賞し、32 のノミネートを受けた今年話題の作品だ。
本作の予約特典である「Back to Karkand」には、Strike at Karkand、Wake Island、Gulf of Oman、Sharqi Peninsulaという4つのマップを収録し、「バトルフィールド 2」で好評を得た武器や搭乗兵器、トロフィーなどが勢ぞろいしており、新旧のバトルフィールドファンにとって、魅力的な内容になっている。
