KONAMIは、PS3/PSP/ニンテンドー3DS用ソフト「ワールドサッカー ウイニングイレブン 2014 蒼き侍の挑戦」を、2014年5月22日に発売する。
本作は、現在発売中の「ウイニングイレブン 2014」の全てのモードに加え、サッカー日本代表でアジア予選から世界制覇を目指す激闘をゲームで体験できる「ジャパンチャレンジ」モードを新たに収録。
プレイヤーは、アジアの強豪チームがひしめくインターナショナルカップ アジア予選を突破して、世界最大のサッカーの祭典インターナショナルカップ本大会への出場、優勝を目指すことになる。
プレイモードは、チーム全体を操作する「チームモード」と、選手の一人を操作する「プレイヤーモード」の2つを搭載。「チームモード」では監督としてサッカー日本代表の選出、戦術設定をして、自分だけの代表チームで世界に挑戦できる。「プレイヤーモード」では実在する代表選手になりきることも、「ビカム・ア・レジェンド」で育てたオリジナル選手を使用することも可能で、すべてのポジションでプレイできる。

初収録の永遠の聖地、国立競技場で、全権監督として自分だけのチームで世界へ挑むか、SAMURAI BLUEの一員としてチームに貢献し、勝利を掴んで世界MVPを目指そう。

さらに、Jリーグの公式ライセンスを受けて、2014シーズンのJ1・J2の全40クラブ、1,000人以上の所属選手を収録した「J.LEAGUE」モードも収録される。同様に好きな選手を収集・育成して国内最強のクラブを目指す「Jリーグ版マスターリーグ」も搭載されている。
Jリーグに加えて、ヤマザキナビスコカップ、天皇杯を収録されており、制覇するとシリーズ史上初めて三冠達成を目指すことも可能だ。また、Jリーグアウォーズも初搭載され、最優秀選手、得点王、ベストイレブンなどを獲得する喜びを味わえる点も特徴のひとつ。
その他、AFCチャンピオンズリーグ(2013シーズン)、クラブインターナショナルカップも搭載され、世界一のクラブを目指せる。
さらに、「ジャパンチャレンジ」モードでは、Jリーグ所属選手からサッカー日本代表を選出でき、プレイヤーが思い描く、夢のサッカー日本代表を実現できる。理想の最強のSAMURAI BLUEで世界の頂点を目指そう。
※Jリーグモードは、PS3版、3DS版のみ搭載です。なお、収録モードの詳細は公式サイトへ公開予定です。
PS3の早期購入特典は、サッカーファンなら嬉しいスペシャルな内容になっているとのこと。近日公開予定とのことなので、楽しみに待とう。
